Detective SergeantHudson Police Department/St Croix E.M.S. Dive Rescue TeamAt the age of 18 Glen started as a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT with Lower St Croix Valley Fire Department. This was the start of a lifelong commitment to the public safety arena.Glen has been married to his wife Debra for 28 years and has three children Keaton, Cassandra and Kevin and two grandchildren James and Everlee.Glen received an Associate Degree in Law Enforcement from Lakewood College in 1983 and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Management in 2004. Glen completed his Masters of Education degree from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in 2014.Glen started his law enforcement career in 1984 where he was hired as a part-time Police Officer by the City of Bayport and he briefly worked for the Chisago City Police Department 1989.In 1989 Glen was hired by the Minnesota Department of Corrections Stillwater as a Correctional Officer where he worked for 5 years. During his time at the prison he worked on the Affirmative Action Committee where he served as President, he served as an instructor for staff development, was a Department of Corrections recruiter and achieved Correctional Officer of the Year in 1991.
In 1994 Glen was hired by the Hudson Police Department where he works today as Detective Sergeant. During his tenure at the Hudson Police Department he accomplished some notable achievements. He was promoted to Patrol Sergeant in 2007, became a Firearms Instructor, Defensive and Arrest Tactics Instructor, chemical irritants, percussive devices and less lethal Instructor. Glen established the Hudson Police Explorer program in 1995 which has been his favorite achievement to date.
Since 2000 Glen has been the St. Croix E.M.S. Rescue Dive Team Coordinator and instructor. The dive team has been involved in numerous water rescues and recoveries second only to the I-35 bridge collapse, which was one of their most challenging and satisfying missions.
At this time Glen serves as an Adjunct Instructor for C.V.T.C, W.I.T.C and the University of Wisconsin River Falls. When he finds the time he works as a substitute teacher for the Hudson School District.
